Methodologies

A portfolio of tools to help you develop software with agents, from organizing project knowledge to guiding and coordinating their work.

Trellis, Atlas, Intent, and Forge are part of the Methodologies portfolio. Each project has its own approach, documentation, and setup.

Portfolio

Trellis

v0.6.1 beta

Skills to build practical handbooks, improve working methods, and learn from experience.

Atlas

v1.1.0 beta

Organize project decisions, open questions, and sources so people and agents can find relevant context.

Intent

v0.1.0 beta

Keep the software’s intended behavior, constraints, and checks connected to the code.

Forge

v0.1.0 alpha

Give agents goals, steer their work, and inspect saved progress and code changes.

How they work together

Agents need working guidance they can reuse across tasks and conversations. Ask Trellis’s Shape Handbook skill to create or refine guidance for a selected area. Learn From Work proposes improvements from experience you choose; you decide which lessons to adopt.

A change may depend on decisions and sources outside the file being edited. Atlas develops that knowledge into explanations people and agents can navigate, from an overview to supporting detail.

An agent can understand the code and still miss the behavior a change is meant to preserve. Intent records the software’s expected behavior and constraints, with checks that help assess the result.

As agents make changes, developers need a way to steer the work and assess the result. Forge keeps each agent’s goal, working checklist, and saved progress together, so you can guide its work and inspect its changes.

You choose the guidance and context for each task and decide what to integrate after reviewing the changed code and verification results.
